GIRL!!!
That's right, Rachel is going to have a little sister to play with. We're expecting our littlest ladybug around October 23.
And for those who didn't even know yet that we were expecting a new little one, don't feel left out...................Andrew and I just found out last week!
We had no idea that I was pregnant until I started feeling some kicks on Mother's Day, and even then I thought it was all in my head (as in: "Gee, that sure felt like..........No, that would be impossible.....Hmmm, there it is again.........Am I going crazy???..........Maybe I'll get a test tomorrow, just to rule it out).
Sure enough, after two positive tests and a last-minute appointment with my OB, my doctor laughed and informed me that I was already about 4 months along. WHAT?!?!? The ultrasound yesterday confirmed my due date and let us know to plan on even more pink around the house. We had been convinced (for that whole long week) that the baby was a boy, but my baby radar is apparently all out of whack (not surprising since I didn't even notice I was pregnant until halfway through my second trimester).
Go ahead, laugh all you want. I know you want to. It took me a whole week to stop laughing whenever I thought about it or tried to tell anyone. But we are ecstatic. And the fact that I made it through almost half of my pregnancy without realizing it means that I clearly wasn't very sick (just very, very tired and hungry--but what mom of a little toddler isn't tired, especially when working part-time? And what nursing mom isn't always starving? So you can see how I might have missed some key signs.) I'm feeling very lucky and blessed that our little one is healthy and strong AND that I was spared the first trimester.
Anyway, we just thought you'd all like to know the latest shocking news from the Clark household. Although we were completely surprised, we could not be more thrilled with the news. The girls will be so close (about 17 months apart), which might be difficult early on but we're hoping that they'll be best friends.
Stay tuned -- Rachel's first birthday party is this weekend, and we'll be posting lots of pics of the little Ladybug enjoying the festivities as soon as possible.

Wow, lucky you! That is a pretty funny story.
We are so excited for all three of you. We hope that the pregnancy continues to go well.
Congratulations!
CONGRATS!!! So happy for you - I had a feeling even if you didn't know!
Congratulations! And you're already half way there. That is so nice. Wow!
Good to hear from you. I've sorta stopped blogging lately, so I didn't see your comment until just now. I think I'm ready for a trip to Boston... alone. I'll keep you posted, if I make a plan. It would be so fun to see you and your little girl.
Oh my goodness! Great news--you're going to have a fun houseful in a few months!
Yay and we can't wait!
Congrats!!! That is so exciting, but you will be super busy. Emma and Hannah are 19 months apart and it gets exhausting! You should check out this stroller site though...
