Here are some pictures from a buggy birthday party fit for a lady. 
It was so fun to have Nana & Papa in town for Memorial Day weekend. We loved having them here and were so glad they were able to celebrate the little lady's birthday with us. 
Aunt JuJu (aka Julsie, Jules, Julia, mommy-to-be...) and Uncle David also flew in for the weekend. What a fun surprise! Rachel liked crawling all over Jules and sitting on her littlest cousin.
And although Rachel seemed a little overwhelmed at times by the crowd and attention, she was a gracious hostess and made sure to wave and clap for everyone as much as she could....
We ended up with beautiful weather, perfect for a BBQ and lots of fun in the sun.
And I can't thank Jen enough for all of her help decorating this amazing cake. She spent most of the morning piping on frosting and making her masterpiece perfect, and it ended up being exactly what I had hoped for. Thank you Jen!
Rachel got her very own little ladybug cake as well, and the red chocolate-covered strawberry ladybugs were a big hit with everyone.
Here's the video of us singing happy birthday and Rachel getting her first real taste of chocolate (and icing!). She wasn't quite sure what to do with it at first, but it didn't take her long to dig in (literally).
Rachel really enjoyed opening her gifts and playing with her friends...
By the end of the day, Rachel had decided that birthdays are pretty cool...
A million thanks to all who came and helped us celebrate. And especially thanks to Jen for making the most adorable cake come to life, to Deb for making the cutest invitations I've ever seen as well as tons of last minute party help, and to Sue for all the help decorating and then cleaning up afterwards, and for keeping Rachel happy with her Nana (and her balloons) during the pre-party rush -- I couldn't have done it without you all!

Looks like quite the party. But then again, you are one of the best hostesses I know. Congrats on little #2 - you don't look 18 weeks pregnant!
She was adorable. We loved hugging the little ladybug! What a party, it turned out so perfect!

Oh my ridiculously cute. I almost called her your little ladybug in my email to you! I guess my inclination was correct. Beyond adorable and what an amazing cake! Is Jen a professional or just THAT good at cake decorating?
